
Katie will serve as Director of Advancement, leading Compass efforts on fundraising, strategic growth, and community outreach. Katie joins us from Hockaday where she has been the Upper School Admission Division Director for the past fifteen years. During her tenure at Hockaday, Katie has worked tirelessly with prospective families seeking to enroll their children in a top-tier independent school. With experience collaborating with divisions and departments across the organization, she has effectively helped craft inspiring communications growing the school's local and national footprint. Katie's innovation in launching programs, such as the Parent Ambassador program, has been instrumental in fostering a sense of community and partnership. She has a proven track record of significant contributions to the school as the Annual Fund Chair, a member of the Benefit Committee, and as part of the Steering Committee during the ISAS re-accreditation process.
Katie is fluent in Spanish and holds an MBA in Management and Leadership from Northwood University, DeVos Graduate School of Business, and an MA in International Relations Management from Universita Cattolica in Milan, Italy, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Arizona. She worked for a few non-profits in Washington, DC before returning to her roots in Dallas. She is a proud mother of three precious children, serves on the Board of Directors for the Concilio and the Advisory Board for the Center for Brain Health. She is passionate about fostering a sense of belonging for the Compass Community and enjoys yoga, mahjong, cooking, and traveling.

Eliza serves as Advancement Officer at The Compass School of Texas. She most recently worked in development at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., where she supported fundraising initiatives for one of the nation’s most prominent cultural institutions. With a strong background in the nonprofit sector, Eliza brings a relationship-driven, strategic approach to donor engagement and institutional advancement. Her experience includes national fundraising campaigns, high-profile event planning, and mission-centered storytelling—all aimed at strengthening organizational impact and building meaningful community connections. Eliza holds a B.S. in Communication Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Arkansas. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hosting dinner parties, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.
