Introduction
The Compass School of Texas is proud to announce the continuation of the Pioneer Scholars Program. Through the generosity of committed donors, this program offers opportunities to award scholarships to high-achieving applicants. These offerings are designed to recognize and reward students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, carry forth the mission of the school, and embody Compass’ five core values: Community, Family, Leadership, Purpose, and Resilience. with merit-based scholarships that provide partial or full tuition.
Scholarship awardees will be selected based on their capacity to lead and serve the Compass community and beyond.
Application
Applicants can apply online via the regular admission process. The scholarship application can be found in the checklist in the application portal with additional questions, a teacher or principal recommendation letter, and a separate principal interview for finalists. In addition to the full 5th grade application, the following is the list of eligibility criteria for scholarship consideration:
•Applicants must be a NEW student applying to 5th grade
•Strong academic standing at current school
•Exhibit leadership in school and community activities
•Demonstrate positive behavior in previous school setting
•Embody Compass’ five core values of Community, Family, Leadership, Purpose, and Resilience.
The application and all supporting documents are due on or before February 20 for the 2025 scholarships. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarships are renewable annually through 8th grade.
The Compass Scholarship Committee will manage the Pioneer Scholars Program. They have the sole responsibility for selecting recipients, basing the decision on criteria, as set forth in the program's narrative and submitted applications.
